The ascent starts directly from the parking lot of Saint-Robert. Follow the markers of the GR, then don’t hesitate to leave them behind to take the trail of the PR (yellow paint), towards the Mountain of Lure. After a climb through the woods, the magic of the landscape unfolds. You will pass under the Cairn 2000 before arriving at the Pas de la Croix (1542 m), offering a panoramic view that could turn any selfie lover into a professional photographer! Once at the summit, the panorama will take your breath away, especially if you brought two sandwiches!

For the return, the trail via the Pas de Jean Richaud offers a pleasant descent. Its gentleness will allow you to admire the valley while reminiscing about the amazing memories of your ascent. With a few opportunities to escape the beaten path, this route remains a teamwork effort with the mountain, each turn bringing its share of surprises and breathtaking landscapes.
