To begin this adventure, you must reach the charming village of Authon. Once there, take the D 103 towards Feissal. Don’t walk around the block, park immediately in the parking lot! Put on your hiking boots and let yourself be enchanted by the landscape. The excitement builds, almost as much as the elevation gain!

Details on Difficulty

Rated at a small elevation gain of 750 m, the ascent will require a bit of effort, but no panic, this is not an expedition to the summit of Everest! The difficulty of the climb is rated as R (hiking), and the slopes do not exceed 30°. In other words, if you have already climbed the ladder to reach the top of your closet, you’re ready!

Expect a 360° view of the Digne Pre-Alps, where only the Monges dare to strut, hiding the Oisans. Route

The route starts from Authon. Follow the long forest track towards the Pas de Géruen. Once you reach an altitude of 1600 m, take the small cleared hollow on your right. From there, let your instincts and the markers guide you. The crest of Géruen awaits you, promising an exciting ascent that will lead to the summit.
