With its 13.5 km route and an elevation difference of 524 m, the ascent is accessible to everyone. Don’t forget your snack; it’s always more enjoyable to savor an energy bar at the top while playing the conqueror!

Ascent Route

The route starts at the Vaunavès sign at 725 m. Follow the direction towards Les Colombiers and the bridge that will lead you to the narrow road, marked by a multitude of colors and scents. After a gentle climb, you will find a marker to follow towards the col de Mounis, where the GR® guides you through an enchanting forest.

After crossing the pass, the trail opens up to open meadows where it is quite common to catch sight of postcard-worthy landscapes. The last meters before reaching the summit reward you with a 360° view, and it will be hard to suppress a victory cry!

Along the way, don’t forget to turn off your phone; a calming silence in the midst of nature feels wonderful, and the mountains aren’t that talkative.
